Premium Rewards with a Purpose
At Sugar Hoof, we believe a treat should do more than taste good. It should be a small, thoughtful contribution to your horse’s day—something that supports wellness, complements a healthy routine, and feels genuinely rewarding. That’s why we choose simple, purposeful ingredients—each one selected for how it works, how it’s tolerated, and how horses respond to it.

Organic Oats
Oats are a classic for a reason: they’re familiar, gentle, and naturally appealing to horses. We use organic oats as a hearty base that offers steady, sustained energy—ideal for everyday routines and active days alike. They also bring natural fiber to support healthy digestion, along with a wholesome “real food” texture horses love.

Molasses
A small touch of molasses helps bring everything together—adding warmth, aroma, and just enough sweetness to make treats truly craveable. We use it intentionally and in moderation: not to overpower, but to enhance palatability and create that “yes, please” moment, even for picky eaters.

Himalayan Salt
Horses rely on salt to support hydration and electrolyte balance—especially during training, travel, and warmer months. We use Himalayan salt in small amounts because it contains trace minerals and helps support normal fluid balance and muscle function. It’s a simple ingredient with an important job.

Organic Peppermint Leaves
Peppermint does two things well: it smells incredible, and horses tend to love it. Beyond that, peppermint is traditionally used to support digestion and promote comfortable breathing. It also brings a naturally calming, fresh quality—making it a smart ingredient for treats given around busy barn moments, schooling, or show environments.

Coconut Shavings
chew, supporting a treat texture that feels more substantial and enjoyable. They also bring gentle fats and a subtle sweetness that pairs beautifully with our other ingredients.

Arrowroot
Arrowroot is one of our quiet workhorses. It’s a clean, easily digestible starch that helps bind our treats while staying gentle on the gut. We choose it because it supports a smooth, comfortable treat experience—especially important for horses with sensitive stomachs or owners who prefer a lighter alternative to heavier fillers.

Organic Virgin Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is rich in medium-chain fatty acids and is often valued for supporting skin and coat health. In our treats, it adds a clean, nourishing fat source that contributes to a glossy coat, healthy-looking skin, and overall vitality. It also provides slow-release energy—useful for horses with active schedules and performance demands.

Dehydrated Apples
Apples are timeless in the horse world—and for good reason. Dehydrated apples offer natural fiber to support healthy digestion, plus a familiar, orchard-sweet flavor horses instantly recognize. They also contribute naturally occurring vitamins and minerals (including potassium), making them a thoughtful choice for everyday reward moments.

Pitted UNSWEETENED DRIED BING Cherries
Tart cherries are widely appreciated for their antioxidant content and their role in supporting post-exercise recovery. We include them because they pair beautifully with an active horse lifestyle—supporting joints and muscles after work, while also adding a naturally bright, tangy note that deepens flavor.
